Olle Sjostrom Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 OK so I finished this amazing show today and I’m just at a loss for words. What a show. The whole ” is it real or not” thing is intriguing, sure, but this is really one of those shows that I think would benefit from being totally transparent in showing how it’s actually done. I’ve done few efforts so far into finding it out, and in my experience, whenever you think something’s made up or scripted, it’s actually much more real than you’d think. But. The one giveaway of this show would be the audio. Every actor is always lavd up and sound amazing. Even in the scene where it’s supposed to be a ”hidden shot” or a surveillance camera type shot. Do anyone of you have any ins on this show? Or just feel free to discuss it. My first thought when I saw this, being on the spectrum I was like ” this guy is autistic” and I really felt like the second seasons comment on the whole autism thing was super intriguing. Also the whole improvisational theater games were very fun to see on a show like this. Quote
fieldsound Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 Love this show. If you haven’t watched his previous series “Nathan For You” yet, do yourself a favour and check it out. Fielder was also an EP on a show called “How To With John Wilson” that has a similar vibe to The Rehearsal and it’s definitely worth a watch. Quote

Izen Ears Posted January 16 Report Posted January 16 He's a GENIUS! If you like NFY and The Curse, you can deep dive his YT. There's a ton. I agree about the sound being much better than "natural." I figure that it's not A hidden camera show so the people knew they were being recorded. Quote

Oh yeah and as a mixer I can sort of tell how the magic is made, which almost takes me out of it in a way. So now I need to know exactly how it’s made! Quote
