newzhack Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 This fall, I'm teaching the production sound class at Rose State College in Midwest City, OK, working to turn the program into a hands-on workforce. We made a big leap and secured 7 new field mixers with batteries, and some boom poles, but campus purchasing cut the support gear, which happens a lot. The Dean confirmed that the funds are frozen until next year's budget cycle. I’ve already donated two older shotgun mics and two older Sennheiser wireless from my kit, but we still need more to complete 7 student packages. What we need: · Shotgun Mics: Any functional mics and mic mounts · Wireless: Any older, legacy, or retired wireless devices and lav mics gathering dust in your bags. If you have retired production gear you’re willing to donate to help train the next generation of Oklahoma crew, please ship it directly to us. You will receive a picture of a Production Sound Student proudly giving you a thumbs up with his mixer. Shipping Address: Rose State College c/o John Marshall — Film Studies & Digital Media Humanities Division (Humanities Bldg.) 6420 S.E. 15th Street Midwest City, OK 73110 Appreciate any help the community can provide to get these kids rigged up before the fall. PM me with any questions! newzhack@gmail.com 4052746621 Thanks, John T. Marshall, CAS Quote
