Hey all!

I bought a 16’ Loon boompole about a year ago, and while it’s been an excellent piece of gear for me, I’m getting a little worried about the kind of care its former owner was giving it.

The carbon fiber is very matte and feels very dry (though I don’t see any cracking). I clean it fairly regularly (after every 7-8 days on set, or after shooting in the rain/dust) and use Boomshine after every few cleans.

Is there anything I can do or should be doing to try and extend the life of this great pole? Any specific products you carbon fiber users like to use? I’ve started to use my beater aluminum pole on a stand instead clamping the carbon fiber to save it the stress of the clamp.
