Just got Ambient Nanolockits and can’t get them work on the camera, can anyone help!?

I work with a Sound Devices MixPre10, a pair of Nanos and Kondor Blue output leads. I can get them output and sync time code no problem; I check this with the Ambient Toolbox software and that’s all fine, but when I go use them on set I am yet to have any success except for a recent shoot with someone else’s Lockit and TC lead. 

 

Full disclosure, this is my first set of TC outside of school and other people’s gear so I’m open to admitting it’s just a me problem, but I know the general rules and even when I follow guides for that specific camera they are yet to work. Current theories are output lead compatibility (they are the right direction, but do Ambient’s just not like Kondor?) or maybe a little workflow quirk with using Nanos without a Lockit. I have Ambient Nanos and Kondor TC cables and have had zero issues. Are you using the one of the Nanos as a “ Master”? It might not be in the right mode. Ambient website has a very thorough operators manual link for all of their products try there to double check you are in the right mode. Also an email to Ambient tech dept. is worth it. They are quick to respond and always helpful. Let us know what you find out.
