Mit Dac Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 We're location sound people, and we got tired of the same three options: re-typing BWF metadata into Excel at midnight, paying for slating bloat we never use, or companion apps that only work with one brand of recorder and die when cell service does. So we built WaveLog Pro. It is on the App Store now for iPhone, iPad, and Mac: iPhone / iPad: https://apps.apple.com/app/wavelog-pro-sound-reports/id6802046237?platform=iphone Mac (wrap-night / Finder): https://apps.apple.com/app/wavelog-pro-sound-reports/id6802046237?platform=mac - Point it at your recorder's folder (Sound Devices, Zoom, Deity, Tentacle — anything writing BWF/iXML) - It parses scene, take, roll, timecode, sample rate, track names on-device — 200+ files in under 2 seconds - Flag circle takes / wild tracks / room tone with one tap - Export a scene-grouped PDF sound sheet, Avid ALE, and CSV with your production header and logo — ready for editorial before you leave set - On Mac, exports land in Finder. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac on the same Apple ID. Two things we're opinionated about: 1. Zero cloud. Everything happens on your device. It works the same on a stage with no signal as it does anywhere else. No account, no upload, no tracking. 2. No hardware lock-in. Mixed carts welcome — one day can combine rolls from three different recorders. Honest pricing: after a short onboarding you hit a paywall — start the 3-day Monthly trial, go Annual at $99.99/yr, or buy Lifetime at $179.99 (we're sound mixers too — we get subscription fatigue). There is no close button; Restore Purchases is on the paywall if you already own it. If you want to poke around before you bring a card, skip onboarding, start the trial, and tap Load Demo Project. We would rather hear what's wrong than collect praise. Real cards are the test that matters — if the ALE doesn't import clean into your MC / Premiere / Resolve bin, tell us exactly what broke (reply here or tungngo.dev@gmail.com). Quote
Philip Perkins Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 will check this out--sounds great, especially the part about not needing cloud etc. Quote
Mit Dac Posted September 10 Author Report Posted September 10 Thanks Philip — appreciate you taking a look. Zero cloud was non-negotiable for us; cards stay on the cart. If you get a chance to run a real card through and the ALE/PDF looks wrong in your MC or Premiere bin, tell me what broke (here or tungngo.dev@gmail.com). Curious what deck you’re on. Quote
