Edmond Smith
My school just recently got a SoundDevices 552 mixer and I am extremely anxious to get my hands on it and test it out. Are there any tips and/or tricks to using the 552? Like how to bag it, any short cuts or anything of the sort? How similar are the controls/system to the 744T? Thanks everyone in advance! Matt Mayer
While the 552 has internal recording capability, it is much more akin to the 442. There are a series of quick video tutorials, on some of the basics, available from the Sound Devices website: http://www.sounddevices.com/video/552.htm
RobertKennedy
I made a video covering some of the basics when the 552 was first released. Hopefully it has some useful nuggets: http://soundandpictureonline.com/2011/05/coffeyklatch-sound-devices-552/ -Robert
