BVS
The roll of sticky blue material to go over the Rycote and under the high wind cover..
BVS
As you can see its not thick and is totally acoustically transparent... BVS
BVS
This material sticks to itself and to the Rycote without moving...it can be shaped to fit at the end domes of the windshield and it sticks there.. BVS

Cloud Wang
i'm wondering if this blue stuff could help lava in the wind as well.
John Blankenship
i'm wondering if this blue stuff could help lava in the wind as well. If you're working that close to an active volcano, I doubt that "blue stuff" will be of much help. <g>
Wandering Ear
i'm wondering if this blue stuff could help lava in the wind as well. I'd be more worried about my skin than my Mic if there's lava in the wind.

mikewest
Interesting Brian! Yes Jan a handheld wind block ( I even used a for a truck as a block!) Also if possible use a boom from underneath - the higher the boom the more wind it catches mike
dolo72
The white 'air con' filter material looks like the same upholstery filler material I use for rain/high wind protection. It's easily available in the uk at any upholstery materials shop. I used it stuffed inside the rycote basket with no windjammer to stop the rain drop sound. Will have to try it on the outside now.
