Richard Lightstone, CAS
I finally broke down and got my iPad2. Yes, I'm enjoying it. I am a big believer in getting a sturdy protective case for items like this. However, I'm curious how other users are carrying their iPads around; aside from a carrying bag. I've heard several horror stories of accidental drops and screen cracking. I know it's cool to carry this rather light unit around 'bare naked'. I buy the Otter Box brand. I have one protecting my HTC Evo 4G, Android phone. I've done the same for my iPad2, getting the "Defender Series" case. The cover also doubles as a support stand. You can buy it direct from Otter Box at their full price of $89.95, (over priced) or better yet from Amazon at $47.00. http://www.otterbox....CFRNjgwodkFFe8Q What are other's doing? I've also found a great source of beautifully constructed carrying bags for computer products, American made in Seattle too! It's Tom Bihn Bags. http://www.tombihn.com/
Doug Osborn
My wife got a free iPad through her job as a Speech Therapist (thanks again to the timely release of The King's Speech). The school district also provided her with a free Otter Box case as well, but it's not as robust as the Defender Series case. I'm not a believer in entitlement whatsoever, but I've got to admit you can't beat the price of free.
Philip Perkins
My friends mostly have the magnetic cover Apple sells for it--it seems to work well w/o making thing a log bigger. phil p
Jason Yun
I use the Portabrace one. http://www.portabrace.com/productA-TAB-IP9+ I like it a lot IMHO very good protection (not really weather proof though!) But makes it look clunky. Envy of the rest of the crew but the girlfriend hates it.
David Waelder
If you're looking for something a little more elegant, you might try the Sena cases: http://www.senacases.com/apple/ipad-2-cases/ I don't have an iPad but I purchased a Sena case for my (now retired) Palm Pilot. It was a good fit, very well made, and the leather was a pleasure to handle. David
