Proper use of this forum

I removed a post and the comments that followed in the Want to Buy - Want To Sell section. The first post was made by one of our members, Tomer (one of only a few of our members who still wants to keep their identity a secret) and it was an extensive buy - sell - trade entry made for a friend, not one of our members. The Want to Buy - Want to Sell section is not really a Classified section like Craigslist or eBay or even the section in a newspaper, and is provided for the use of our MEMBERS. Guests and non-registered people viewing this section can respond if the Member has put publicly accessible contact information. A Member posting for a friend is really not something that I want to allow on our site. Up until just recently, I think the Want To Buy - Want To Sell section has functioned very nicely for our members over the years and I know many people have found things they want to buy and many have sold items here as well. Let's keep this section for the use of our registered Members only.

on groupdiy.com they've set up the trade thread to be only visible by members of the forums. This refrains people from posting as it was an ad paper as it can only be viewed by the community.

The general public can view the Want To Buy - Want To Sell section on this forum but only registered members can post. Our problem did not come from the public, it came from within our membership.
