Vincent R.
Yeah including contacts. I see now that the connector on Jeff's is even smaller than the one I had. So even smaller.
studiomprd
" Yeah including contacts " tell me more... Conductive plastic, mating with metal ?? I'd have durability questions..
Vincent R.
No I was joking Mike... The housing is completely made from some sort of plastic, the pins are from what they normally used to be. As a response to Jeff's remark if it will be durable. I think less compared to the metal Neutrik housing we're used to.
benr
The K-Teks are really nice, but dang, 25 bucks a pop is a hefty price. Youd have to REALLY want that low profile, right angle connection! Nice to know they are at least available!

Mark Orusa
Loon used to sell their right angle connector separately. I'm not sure if they sell anything anymore: I have some pics of wiring one up at the bottom of this page: http://markproaudio.com/picturesOld/ Mark O. Malcolm Davies Amps CAS
Some of the best are the Kortwich connectors but I don't believe you can buy them as a separate part. They usually have to be attached at the dealer or factory. Professional Sound in NY has them and will make them up as needed. They will sell them but they want $39 each for them plus shipping. snd.waves
Just looked back at my past posts and this title caught my eye. After some recent heartbreak, I have realized just how much I needed a low profile female.

Toy Robot
Just made my own. I was tired of setting my bag down and having the receivers pushed up out of their sleeves, and I knew it was just repetitive strain on the cable connection. A little elbow grease and some epoxy and this was the end result.
Rick Reineke
Nice Alex. Did you have to cut the solder cups down and did you add caps of just the epoxy the open end? I gotta do that soon, on some male input connectors too. When will Neutrik and/or another manufacturer make an 'affordable' version of these. I did one a while ago and stuffed it up like that - only done male plugs since.

Toy Robot
Thanks guys! Justin, I definitely botched my first attempt the same way. Epoxy froze the connector release solid. Full tutorial including how I overcame that obstacle below. Hope this helps for those inclined to give it a go. http://www.toyrobotstudios.com/trsblog/2013/5/24/diy-right-angle-xlrf-connectors

soundslikejustin
Yep, that's what I figured. I thought I might use some sugru or even blu-tak to the same effect (cover the release pin without filling) and epoxy the rest. Thanks! Toy Robot
My version... Very nice. Vin I like your approach. When right angle is not required ill definitely consider this approach.
