Max Futterman
New to the I/O settings on Pro-Tools 9 non-HD version. Can anyone tell me how to set it up so my Mix-Pre D is the USB interface for I/O? Thanks!
Tom Visser
I have PT9 and just hooked up my MixPre-D to my Mac running Lion. Open up the Setup > Playback Engine menu pane and under the current engine drop down selection, you should see a "MixPre-D" option. Select that and the press OK. If you have a session open, it will close and reopen. You may have to redo your routing and I/O assignment, depending on what your project was previously configured like. When I did this, I didn't have any input options, had to go to the routing assignment and add a new stereo routing path for some odd reason. The headphone output will have 3 modes when hooked up via USB. No blue LED indicates that you are listening to the input mix buss. A solid blue LED indicates you are listening to the camera return. A blinking blue LED indicates you will listen to the USB return from the DAW.
