Greetings all!

I have been asked to do a possible short notice job in Paris, France. Does anyone have any ideas whether my Ch.38 radio mics (606-614mhz) will encounter any known rf issues. All my brief research so far says that open frequencies are available from 430-801mhz. Any one have any real-world experience? I'm shooting constantly until we leave so figured this was the best place for a swift answer... We are, after all, the master manipulators of dark magic (ie, radio mics)

Best and thanks in advance,

Simon

Hi Simon. just had a look at this page

http://www.dcaudiovisuel.com/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/7/products_id/290

photo 5 shows an audio that covers 611-618MHz so you should be fine.

Thanks for your response, VM. I thought it would be fine, but just needed to check with someone on the ground.

Best,

Simon.

Don't worry Simon, i'm living in Paris. This block is a very good choice for Paris and its suburbs. Feel free to mail me if you need a help in Paris.

Thanks VM, very kind. I have just found out that part of our filming will be happening at a lingerie show! Life gets better and better... I feel a new picture for the 'view from my office' thread is in order...

Thanks Rich for that useful link. My French is rusty, but we can all understand the numbers when we see them!

All the best and keep out of the cold,

Simon

May be we will find time to have a beer in Paris.

But I am about to go to Turkey for a documentary ! (and maybe - after"homeworks" ::) - I will ask the same question as you for RF in Turkey !)

Hey vm , sorry only just read your message- a beer would have been lovely! I'm back in uk now so when ever you're in London- get in contact!. I've shot in Istanbul (and surrounds) a few years back and used my ch69 mics with success. (854-862mhz). I'm not sure there's much regulation/control in turkey for actual radio mic use so it was a suck it and see for me. Good luck! It's gonna be cold tho!
