  1. You can just use sticks if you like, but I encourage everyone to Jam Sync the RED as well. Run your LEMO from the 744T to the RED. Ask the 1st AC to Jam Sync the Camera. This is a simple settings option that just needs to be selected. On the Operator's Display for the RED you should see a small "chain-link" icon. This means you are successfully jammed. If you're still worried about being Jammed, simply ask the AC to record a few seconds for sound purposes. When the RED is recording you will see the running TC and know for sure that it is Jammed. NOTE: The RED must be Re-Jammed everytime the camera is re-started. Make sure the 1st AC knows this, and he can make sure you get an opportunity to Re-Jam everytime he powers the RED back on. Let me know how it goes. Jonny Coffey Sound, Llc
  2. To All, I've noticed a lot of posts with issues regarding the RED's audio workflows. The solutions to most of these problems are much simpler than one might think. I'm happy to answer any questions about frame rates, timecode, jamsync, bit depth, or any other questions/concerns. Coffey Sound has taken an avid interest in the RED's audio compatibilities. We will be checking this message board daily to answer your questions. Or you can reach me at Coffey Sound. Thanks, Jonny Coffey Sound, Llc (323) 876-7525
