bacher
Hi -new guy here I have a business partner that has the possibility to buy a set of 6 Lectro SMa/e01 and a Venue receiver with 6 VSR modules. They are in the now illegal 793-819 Mhz block so will need to be retuned. What would you guys pay for a set like this in fine condition? i'm in the EU. I have zero experience with lectro, so seeking advise.
jason porter
SMa's normally sell in North America for about $800 each or more. The VRS receivers are about $225 (if I remember correctly) and the Venue unit, maybe $1000? Contact Lextrosonics about retuning, it may be cost prohibitive. It would probably be cheaper to just buy new everything (although EU prices are higher than NA)
RPSharman
I value used/discontinued at 50-60% of new price. Current models used at about 70-80% of new. If you call Lectro to ask what it costs to re-tune the Venue ($500 about, I think) and SMa ($300-400, I think) you can decide what to offer. bacher
Thank you. What would a system with "new" frequencies be worth on the used market?
jason porter
Sorry, I overlooked the fact that they are illegal frequencies. The price should definitely be lower than what I mentioned earlier. I would make an offer based on what Lectro quotes to retune everything. Thank you. What would a system with "new" frequencies be worth on the used market? pvanstry
Here is what I would do: 1- Determine the price of a new kit 2- Substract 25% of that price 3- calculate the price of shipping to lectro for retuning and substract 4- calculate the price of retuning and substract 5- inspect equipment and adjust price according to condition Most likely the price you will be able to offer will be so low that it will make no sens for the seller.
