Danijel Milosevic
Is there a dealer in Europe that specializes in Location Audio Gear like Trew Audio or Coffey Sound in the US? Or, what do you do when you want to find out about prices for a certain piece of gear? Being primarily a post guy myself, I first go to Thomann.de - they've got Senn & Schoeps, but if I want Lectros, Sound Devices, Ambient, Tram, etc, I have to call local dealers (in Serbia) who then have to look it up and order from somewhere, and they can't give prices right away - I have to wait for a couple a days.... Thanks! Danijel Milosevic www.danijelmilosevic.com

Danijel Milosevic
Thanks Matthias! Just what I was looking for. They run at least half the stuff I'm looking into, and it's great that they are in München. BTW, just stumbled into this: http://www.lectrosonics.com/PressReleases/euro_japan/euro_japan.htm - maybe we'll see better Lectro deals from now on..... studiomprd
lots of folks outside of North America check prices at www.bhphotovideo.com, trew audio, LSC, Coffey, Professional Sound, TAI, etc! and figure out about what that would cost them locally from those quotes... Danijel Milosevic
It's been a hit and miss for me. Sometimes, the deal I get turns out a little bit better then what's online, sometimes I have to pay 15-25% more, especially with equipment from small manufacturers.... studiomprd
I think we all have those issues when dealing with gear manufactured outside of our home countries, especially from smaller companies...
Danijel Milosevic
For the record - I found another German (Berlin) dealer in another thread here on JWS: http://www.filmtontechnik.de/ They run most of the popular location audio brands. I don't see prices on their web, but it looks like they could give quotes on the phone or through email.
