Here are some pictures taken in the German music store "Instrumente - Noten," located at Sonnenstr. 15, in Munich, during the winter of 2024.
I was deeply inspired by the merchandise available in their store: a true musician's dream.

FYI, the store is called "Hieber-Lindberg" and "Instrumente-Noten" refers to Instruments and sheet music. I remember the Lindberg mail-order catalogues from my youth. I assume this is that company.

Thanks for the extra picture and link. Looks like Bluthner has a few wacky models (as well as some nice-looking pianos). Cool that you saw it in person. Did you play it a bit? If so, how'd it sound?

I think there was also a request to not play the piano, but the answer is no. 124 000 € there is too much, but yes, it would be interesting to hear how it sounds!

Turns out there's a new PH at a piano store a few miles from me. It's a pretty great store.... I haven't been for several months... I'm going to go check it out. Not that my playing is anywhere near worthy. https://piedmontpiano.com/all-used-pianos/bl

 

The store, Piedmont Piano Company, also keeps Fazioli pianos in stock, hold really nice concerts, and have lots of great new and used pianos. Traditional, and less traditional, like this aluminum Rippen (that I really don't know anything about).

Calling Hieber Lindberg “Instrumente – Noten” makes as much sense as telling the story where I once had this wonderful sausage at a butcher called “Fleisch – Wurst”. 😄
