Mr Beast  is shooting a reality show in Toronto with 1000 contestants. Apparently they are all wired.  So  It would be interesting If any one working on the show sound could give us some insight how they managed this .

I seem to remember hearing something about Track E's on a shoot with 100 talent, but I can't find anything googling, so maybe I hallucinated it.

$250K worth of Tentacle Sync Track E's?

$150K worth of TASCAM DR-10L Pro?

At that volume you might be trying to source directly from Tentacle!

Yeah, hardwired into personal recorders was my assumption.  And separating contestants in time & space so equipment can be reused.  Much easier to film 10 batches of 100 contestants than one batch of 1,000.

I think Mr.Beast is a gaming streamer?  If the "show" is a gaming tournament, you could "wire" 1,000 contestants with 1,000 gaming headsets plugged into their laptops.  They might even provide their own headsets...

A few years ago, Force Four did a show called Keeping Canada Alive with ~120 crews shooting simultaneously.  I think they required 4 wires per crew, which is close to 500 channels of wireless being used simultaneously, but that worked because the crews were all across Canada, not all in one place.  I very much doubt a show with 1,000 contestants would try to shoot all 1,000 simultaneously in the same time and place.  The manpower and equipment costs become astronomical and impractical very quickly.

It was Physical 100, a Korean competition show. They used 100 Track Es with Deity W.Lav Pros.
