  1. Hi all. I'm starting a long running show with three Venice cams soon and we're worried about how well they will hold their TC. WE'll be supplying both TC and GenLock from Ambient Lockits and I've every confidence in their ability to hold their code. Any updates? Also, has anyone any insight on which is better to shoot with 23.98P or 23.98Psf?? I understand the technical difference from reading the various Wikipedia pages but is one more desirable than the other?
  2. Hi all, I've a very peculiar problem. I'm using Nomad 12 with external NP1 batteries and internal PowerEx 2700 rechargeables. I wasn't using the machine for a while and now that I've started it up again, I find that I can't run it on the externals while I have the internal sled in place. With the machine turned on using an NP1, I insert the AA sled, and the machine jumps over to internal supply and declares the low external battery warning. I pull the sled, power dies, I recycle on externals only and we're back up. It's very frustrating, the only this I can think of is an internal short somewhere between the external/ internal power switch over. The only problem it really causes me is the inability to hot swap NP1s without losing power. Has anyone come across this before? Is there another solution outside of sending it back to the mothership? Steve.

  4. Ah I see. We haven't rewired it before and the problem arose after I changed batteries. It was working fine, changed batts, then it wasn't. Kind of baffled! So maybe there was some damage that we knocked over the edge. I emailed Howy and he's stumped so I'm sending it in. Thanks for the help!
  5. So, big problem. My analogue cone won't pass any audio signal. It will power my cmit 5 (the led's light up when plugged in), but I can't get a feed through it. I tried various analogue mics to the same effect. My digital cone works 100%, and the pins on the analogue cone seem intact after running the meter across them. Has anyone encountered this before? I'm using the latest software if that helps. Many thanks, Steve.
