  1. I have Adobe Audition 2023. But I'll watch the lessons on Reaper. Thanks!
  2. I am an absolute beginner in the subject of sound recording. Please forgive me if my question is vague, I don't even know how to formulate it correctly. Please tell me, I record the sounds of nature, but I don't know anything at all about how to process them. On the Internet, there is mostly information related to music tracks, there is almost no information regarding the processing of recording sounds of nature and ambient. I have only heard that it is necessary to do compression and remove the electric hum that can get on the record from high-voltage towers. The purposes for which I need it at the moment is to create audio for sleep, study or meditation. In the future, for the long term, I want to create my own sound library and possibly sell sounds. But at the moment I do not even know how to formulate a query in Google, since my knowledge is limited only to the choice of recording equipment, I do not know anything about post-processing. Thank you all in advance for your help!
  3. You guys are cool! I couldn't even imagine that this community is so friendly. Thank you for the comprehensive answers!😊
  4. I have built-in microphones Zoom H5, Rode NT55 and shotgun Rode NTG5. In general, it is the atmosphere that interests me. For example, standing in the middle of the forest during the rain. I was recording audio on YouTube for sleeping, people like the sounds of rain, and they asked me to improve the quality, I bought better microphones. It turned out that microphones catch even a light touch to their body, not to mention the sounds of an umbrella or covers that protect from rain.
  5. Hello everyone. I'm new to this and the question is probably stupid, I didn't find anything like this by doing a forum search. Tell me, please, how to record the sounds of rain without extraneous noise and not to wet the equipment? I have heard recordings of rain sounds on the Internet that are clean and without extraneous noise, they sound fantastic. But when I try to record, I hear the sound of drops falling on the protective cover for the recorder or as drops hit the umbrella. If I record under the roof, I can hear the sound of drops on the roof or on the walls, microphones pick up all this very well. Thank you in advance for your help.
  6. I ordered the microphones, when they arrive, I will test them and in case of problems I can send them back since 14 days are eligible for a refund. I was thinking about Zoom F3 at the very beginning, but unfortunately, then I will lose portability in case I need to urgently record some sound. Zoom H5 is always with me in my backpack, just in case.
  7. I didn't know anything about preamps... Unfortunately, on the Internet they only talked about how to get rid of noise, you can connect a good external microphone. Perhaps you could recommend a compact preamp for the Zoom H5 + Rode NT55 kit? I will be very grateful!)
  8. I looked at the options that I can get. Unfortunately, all the microphones listed above are not available or delivery is expected, but it is not known when. Apparently the reason for this is a full-scale war in my country. That's why I gave examples of popular brands that are available, such as Audio Technica, Rode, sennheiser. Now they sell Rode NT55 at a discount of 15%, they have both a cardioid and an omnidirectional circuit. Might be the best option for me at the moment. Thank you so much for your help!
  9. Hello everyone, My name is Lilay. I apologize in advance for my English. I need the help of experienced people in the field of recording sounds of nature. I am very attracted to the recording of natural ambient, namely the so-called silence and very quiet sounds. I'm a beginner and the budget is limited, I already have a Zoom H5 as a recording device. The Rode NTG 5 microphone with a full set of accessories, a tripod that suits me, a powerbank for powering the Zoom H5. Now I have a question about buying a good microphone for stereo recording. Zoom h5 microphones are already starting to make a lot of noise at level 6-7.My budget is small, I can allocate about 1000 euros. Microphones Rode NT5, sE Electronics sE 8 with wind protection fit into this budget and make little noise. But on your forum I saw mentions of Audio Technica BP4025, they say it is good for recording nature and I really like it because it is not a pair of microphones, but everything is placed in 1 case. Please tell me, will Audio Technica BP4025 be a good investment for recording quiet sounds and the environment? Thank you for your attention to my question, I will be glad to hear your opinion!
