Coming price change on SRa to SRb conversionThe current conversion or update price to change an SRa to an SRb is $250 in the US. That price will be good until 31 July 2013. It will increase 50% to $375 after 31 July 2013. At the end of the year, we will drop the conversion "deal". Current cost for a block change is $752.38 and the SRb conversion uses exactly the same parts and requires the same alignment. So, at the end of the year the conversion may get pricey. Note that at $375, it is still half price. If you can't get a unit in before 31 July, simply make an appointment before then for a conversion before 30 Sept 2013. This gives you 50+ days to decide to rob the piggy bank and 111 days to find a break in your schedule. If you have a firm appointment, the crew is good about turning the units around for a specific return date. In the past few months, we have have done a thousand conversions in bulk. That is slowing down and in a few months it will start becoming similar to a regular repair. Hence the pricing change. Best Regards, Larry Fisher Lectrosonics
SRB on Sony EX3
jrclark32 posted a topic in Cameras... love them, hate themI'm prepping to do an outdoor run and gun style reality shoot, and am looking for a good solution to use my SRB recievers on their EX3 cameras. In the past I've done the fanny pack setup, but this show is going to involve a lot of running through the woods, etc and I need something sturdy that won't snag on things so easily. Suggestions? Do brackets for SR receivers exist? I appreciate your input!

johndiemer posted a topic in General DiscussionHey Guys, I have been reading a lot of previous threads about camera hops but couldn't find one with people who have been using 2xLMa for TX and an SRa for a hop. I understand the range difference is the main issue with the LMa only providing 50Mw of RF power. But for the price difference I would love to get some opinions from guys who are currently using this set up in the field and are you finding that the 50Mw is providing a reliable enough signal or are you finding yourself hugging you camera guy to avoid dropouts. Thanks in advance,
SRa gain staging/metering
Josh Tucker posted a topic in EquipmentHey guys. I recently purchased a Lectro SRa for use as a camera hop, and took it out for the first time a few days ago. It was fed by 2 SMQV's, which in turn were fed by the line level outs of my 788. I left the gain of the 788 output at -4dB and set both the tx's and rx gain to zero. When I did this, I noticed that the metering on the SRa seemed really hot, while the meters on the tx's were barely hitting above -20. Did I get something mixed up with the gain staging here, or am I just misreading meters on the SRa (I haven't found anything in the manual about the meter scale)? Seems like the metering on the tx's should be more or less identical to the rx, assuming that there's no additional gain applied to the rx. Right?
