Nicole Hankerson
Tascam Dr-40 anyone here using one? Are you able to name files and if so how easy/fast is it on the fly? Thanks for any input. I did read the manual but it doesn't go into much details but again I could have missed/overlooked info. Nicole
ShubiSnax
Menu: Others: File Name You have the option of naming by word or date. Example, you name your file "door close" Your file looks like this: door close_0001 There is also an option there to reset the track count. Rick Reineke
Naming by word is (as I recall) limited to six prefix alphanumeric characters which can be ot upper and lower case.. for instance Tascam_0001.wav, whereas in the date mode: today's 1st file would start with "120301_0001.wav", if reset to start in an empty folder. Nicole Hankerson
They ended up having one in stock at Guitar Center so I tested it out and it worked perfect for what I needed. File naming works great and can easily be configured to work in fast situations. Thanks for your help. Nicole
