L Rossi Sound
Hello all! Any tips, tricks, or suggestions for packing the Cinela Kelly for air travel? I have been trying to limit the amount of luggage I bring on the past few travel doc shoots (hoping to stay self sufficient with multiple company moves each day), and have ended up filling the Kelly with other rain gear (aquapacs, poncho, etc) to keep it from deforming before stuffing it in my checked suitcase. Unfortunately, it’s already starting to look a little wonky… How do you travel with this expensive piece of foam? Thanks for your time! Matthias Richter
does it alter its function at all when stuffed away?? My Kelly lives squeezed in a pouch since years. Looks as new the moment it is put on top of the Pianissimo. To my eyes anyway.
cineli
The Kelly foam has to have the right fit (egg shape) so it's effectively not so easy to pack it in a small volume. The best is to fill it with anything "soft", like the fur, or even the Piano/Pianissimo itself, but we also found another way: It's possible to "roll" it in a certain way (picture) and keep it in shape with two elastic straps around. Maybe a new way to sell it ?
