I recently sold an old MOTU PCI card that I was using for an audio interface with my computer. I need to buy a new audio card and I was wondering if anyone has used an AES card with their Deva/Fusion or another piece of gear for your I/O on your computer? I'm thinking I could pick up a Lynx AES16e card and have that output to my Fusion 12 then analog out to my speakers, thereby using the Fusion as the D/A converters and volume control. Has anyone set up a similar configuration and have it work well? I can't think of a reason this wouldn't work but perhaps I'm over looking something.

Not sure why you'd want to use it this way, but I doubt there's any reason it wouldn't work.

A quick search shows that Lynx card costing around $700 (correct me if I'm wrong) - I would think a dedicated interface would make more sense practically speaking.

I already own a Fusion which is why I was thinking I could simply pick up an AES card and hook it up. It's a very inexpensive way to get multiple I/O on the computer using gear I already own. Perhaps down the road I would also buy a dedicated interface such as a Mytek.
