Here are some choices to purchase them from or at least steer you towards a vendor.

Those are some very nice products Daniel. Kudos to your work. I have limited 3d print skills, but have made a few useful items.

Yep the boardrooms are seeing dollar signs.

Anyone out there know anything about the Aaton closing? As a Cantar owner curious what these means for those of us invested in the product. I remember when Transvideo bought them in 2013 and thought things were going well. Then again it is such a niche market.
Thoughts appreciated.

I believe the front end is the key. In our world, my take would be the Sonosax, Cooper and SQN preamps. Outside of that take a listen to Gordon or Forssell. Then pretty much any recorder or recorder software.

Holding out for 48bit

Thank you Tobi, that is what I needed to hear. The delay would be an issue along with not being able to increase the gain.

thanks David. I am trying to avoid induction loops and wired earpieces, which is what we are using currently

I have owned and used Phonak in the ear receivers. I have an ongoing project that an in the ear receiver would be very helpful for the talent. Seen the Halter videos on the Microsone.
Are there any folks out there that have a Microsone or used one?
How well does it fit in the ear?
Does it hide well?
Phonak seems a bit smaller
How is the audio quality?
I suspect there is a difference over using a Comtek transmitter or a UHF transmitter from other manufactures.
Price point is a large consideration. The Roger system is a bit out of reach for this project.
Thank you for your thoughts and advice.

As that famous advice guru has said "it depends". My .02. Hardwired saves a lot of grief. Jim's suggestion go with a four split screen, whether it is something large or tablet size. Depending on who you are working with, buy one of the BM bi-directional converters, covers HDMI or SDI. I run into this on occassion.

I have owned both and built my own BDS. Switched to CT Battery Bud with USB. Main reason is the use of Hirose connectors. Positive locking and nothing to loosen like on the BDS that use Switchcraft type connectors.
YMMV

Not sure, but the antenna and cable could have a very high swr and the Comtek is letting you know that fact. If you or someone you know has a vna this is easy to determine. A vna is a great tool and can be had for less than 100usd.

My .02. In your market what is the trend in wireless systems? What are other soundies using. As someone mentioned earlier, it is nice to be able to draw on a large established base when you are in need of some extra gear or suffer a failure.
I would also say must of us suffer from GAS and are willing to purchase something different or perhaps better.
Go with works for you.

Super nice Patrick. Swiss equipment envy!!

Karl W. at Lectro would be the go to person.

Loved these mixers also Jeff. My first ENG mixer was the SQN-M. Sonically this mixer and Andy's mixers were the best in my opinion. Better than the current crop of mixer/recorders.

Maybe Freedman will buy Zaxcom and then we can all have transmitters they record while they are transmitting!!
