My Guess, probably the camera input hv diiferent attenuation to ur input jack. May be u need to add resistor to do this but check the camera manual first ...

howy, thanks for your testing ,however , there is few people experience similar freeze and seems not one or 2 case, at least i found here. What i have tried ,seems pointing to mirroring problem as i mentioned above,And the freeze is not periodically happened ,just random on field recording , So i really could not locate the problem is hardware or software, and one more thing , i have experienced hardware problem of one part of my machine and get it changed already....Seems won't have 2 hardware part problems within one machine?? just matter of probability is relatively low, right?

I only got 2 Transcend 133 X Cf , Other are other brand, I would try Swap pri and mirror Card , see whether it still happen or not ,thx

Jack : I used both Transcend 16 Gb 133 X in primary and mirror slot before, and has format mostly each time... freeze still sometimes randomly occur, but once i tried mirroring off, the whole day shooting is fine, so i suppose the situation pointing to mirroring..... Greg, I found it quite safe for one day shooting of docu i experienced, i used to be though that mirroring is just for safe for recording , but now seems thing happen opposite.... But i do need more days testing ,since the freeze is very randomly.

I discover most freeze caused by Mirror CF slot, Even i used the Transcend 133X 16Gb still sometimes Freeze happen....but 1 times as i close the mirroring , the whole day shooting saying 5,6 hours no freeze occur... then i open mirroring for copying files , mirroring 2 cards both are Scan disk 16Gb 60Mb/s , the first one ok, the second freeze once during mirroring....

Over covers is great product as basic windshield ,sometimes to elimination of silly clothing noise.... in my exp, i just stick the lava on stickers and stick the over cover , i use the wall mount sticker which is grey in clour made by 3M , cheap and great holding power and elastic, so one side with the overcover and one side just tape on clothes....I don;t find that will create any clothing noise, oppositely absorb much...however ,sound will not as great as before, i though just is a must in fact... I used to be using the sticker of the Rycote overcovers paackage , i found it is not enough holding power on all clothes texture ...and too expensive....So i find the substitute which i mentioned above... The undercover is just the lighter version of over cover i though..... And the clothing noise problem should be related to position of lava mic and lava mic design..... The sticker i used Scotch® Permanent Outdoor Mounting Tape VHB™ Double-Coated Acrylic Foam Tape A very high bond, closed-cell, clear, acrylic foam tape on a red polyethylene liner. Thanks for all...... i have tried both Ambient and Sennheiser one.... i prefer Sennheiser more , personal reason on the design , so i would like to find them....and i would look into wht Jeff suggest Gary Woods QuickRelease ....Seems interesting

What the Hardwired means? Just look up on web and can't figure what that meaning...And micropohne with pigtail meaning no connector is wired or soled? So i need to do it by myself? So if i would like to buy 1 lava mic and ready for my G3 set , should I bought the mic ,then buying Sens TRS Add on ,then soldering by myself? Thanks for all ur unique experience sharing..........

Sorry hemmer , i am not sure i quite follow you , but when i test i quite sure those input limiter, card limiter and output limiter are not reach during the problem happen..... because i not test them with human voice and high volume ,juz around -20 .which the input meter around -20 too..... and that is exactly the same setting in other channel , and that channel works fine Anyway, thanks for your advice

That great... i really hope these report would help out Zaxcom and help us slove question further..... And i do hope Zaxcom would keep update us when there is arrangements are made and planned. Glenn has actively response on my request ,that is good.... And the thing i can do right away is wait for Zaxcom have further arrangement..... And it is nice to update others by this post if the problems solved

My version is just nomad 4 with six input...... bernie , i have personally email to Glenn about this... And he is willing to help this... I though you should send him a email to have further action on that.... As the problems seems occasionally . I just afraid one day when i need it, it suddenly cause problem... I though it is good to report similar case to Zaxcom, may be this would improve the manufacturing of nomad.... And it is good to know that we both have same problems, proved that seems not by manual setting error.

I know this issue...and i tried that before...seems no help...i even pull out all cf after restore factory setting.... things keep happen.... i have email to glenn, and he has follow my problem, just because seeing reply here and i keeping feed back.... thanks for all, all of you are helpful to such fresh recordlist as me

The critical point of the trim is + 10 db ok, then +11 db,sound miss out or just like crazy clipping sound with the meter are still stay around -24 to -22
