jbuerjes
I did a battery test with Lectrosonics PDR units (recording). Eneloop black (rechargeable) = 4 hrs Varta alkaline industrial (not rechargeable) = 2 hrs 15 min Varta lithium ultra (not rechargeable) = 6 hrs 30 min
lazajamsonic
Thank you @jbuerjesfor posting this, will be running a PDR through its paces in cold weather for an upcoming shoot and these runtimes are super helpful.
jbuerjes
@lazajamsonic I remember that the battery status indicator went down rather quickly in the first half of the runtime, but then it took it a longer time to reach the bottom. The rechargeables are best right out of the battery charger.

Li-ion batteries only lose 2% of their charge per month (!) unlike some high capacity NiMh batteries that can lose 15% or more in a day after being fast charged. All this to say, you can charge a Li-Ion NP-50 and use it a week later with almost unmeasurable capacity loss. Best Regards, Larry Fisher
