Fred Salles Posted June 8, 2024 Report Posted June 8, 2024 Hello all, Since I upgraded the firmware of my MCR54 to the latest v2.4 the auto setting of the 4 receivers allocated frequencies after a scan is very often wrong. Whether I am doing it from the MCR54 directly or from the SL2 menu it does allocate automatically frequencies that are too far from each other and exceed the 32Mhz limitation bandwidth, causing the rx led to blink red, forcing me to change the problematic ones manually. I did not have this issue before that firmware since it always choose the best frequencies within the 32Mhz bandwidth. I do not find a way to force it to choose correctly... Am I missing something? Fred Salles Posted June 8, 2024 Author Report Posted June 8, 2024 Hi again, Adam Bloch from the Wisycom facebook group got the answer: The MCR54 never actually had the "set to all" automatically choosing within the 32Mhz bandwidth! What happened is that I uploaded new group charts on my MCR54, just after upgrading the firmware, and these new groups have been created differently than the ones I had before: they used to have limited amount of frequencies available to always fit within the 32Mhz bandwidth. For the 2 years I have had the MCR54 I assumed that the "set to all" feature on the MCR54 or the "auto set A1-A4" one on the Sound Devices SL2 were intelligent enough to propose 4 frequencies within the allowed bandwidth 😁 Well maybe one day but not yet. For now if we want to benefit from the time saving "auto set the 4 channels" after a scan, we have to create groups within the 32Mhz bandwidth, or sub-divide bigger groups accordingly. Quote
