  2. "The Drive" ans "Sons of Thunder" will go up in mid May. I'll let you know. Steve
  3. This is the link to "Living With Lou" on Youtube. It's a short film that Robert Sharman and Steve Morrow put together a few years ago. Hope you all enjoy. Steve
  4. I have found, in the past, that the DVD-RAM burn from the 744t is not the most reliable. I suggest that you take the files from your 744t's compact flash drive and transfer them to your mac via a card reader. Then burn a DVD-R in the UDF format with all your files on it, and turn that in and see what happens. This works for me great. The one time I used my DVD-RAM drive to burn from my 744t, I got a call from post that the disk wouldn't mount... Go figure. Steve
  5. I have an HHB Portadat with TC for sale. It's been sitting for the last year, so I've decided to sell it. It work great and I have the power supply for it. Let me know, I’d like $1000.00 for it, but make me an offer. morrowsound76@hotmail.com Thanks Steve Morrow
  6. My 744t locked up on me once, but I was using two 744t's at the time so the "back-up" came in handy. Mine locked up when I was changing the scene number. I also had to pull the battery and power cable. Steve Morrow
  7. I've been using the Boom Recorder. It's, so far, flawless. It can't mirror record to a DVD but it does everything else. The mirror issue doesn't bother me because if you use 16x speed media and burners, 4 gigs burns in about 5 minutes, so I figure it wasn't worth the money to buy the Medacorder. Also you can burn to multiple Hard drives at once. For $240.00, you can't loose. They also give you 30 days free trial that is fully functional. http://www.vosgames.nl/products/BoomRecorder/ Steve Morrow
  8. I've just recently started to use my Mac in addition to two 744t's to record all prefades and a mix track for post. So far so good. I use the RME 400 firewire for the analog in's (tc and Mix) and I use the RME ADI-4 DD to convert my AES/EBU prefades to ADAT. The ADAT connects into the Fireface 400 and is converted into Firewire. I've done 10 tracks at 24bit 48k for 23 minutes continues, without any problems. 9. Hey Mick, how have you been? Long time. Steve Morrow
  10. Thanks Jeff, I appreciate your comments. Also, I can't take all the credit, my boom man Craig Dollinger and Utility, Robert Sharman (who's now mixing) were key. We all know without a great crew to back you up, it can only sound so good. Steve Morrow
  11.     Okay, sorry it's taken me this long to pay attantion. So "little Miss Sunshine" it's true, I too hate doing insert car work. On this film they (DP) would always use two camera's. One from the front and one from the side. The one on the side meant that the side door had to be removed. This was painful. So I did what you do, radio mic all the actor. Then I multi-tracked, and prefaded them all, and of course gave them a mix. Most of the car rig was on the I-5 from the 14 to Valencia, which meant that semi trucks were passing or 40mph circus at high speed. What else can I say, oh yeah, the grip department did build a shield from the wind in the front of the bus, which helped with any wind in the car.
