Sndspd
Since all of my work consists of being in the field I have not delved into post sound. I was looking into sound editing programs where I can cut sound files while still retaining the original TC from the source file. Ex. I have audio files from a Zaxcom TRX900 with TC stamps and would like to edit those files while still keeping the original TC before I deliver them to my clients. The only program I heard of is Pro Tools that I believe can achieve this but is there others? Thanks in advance. Gabe

Michael Wynne
def Pro Tools, you have the option to drag in on the TC in spot mode, supports all frame rates, and you can even work on a different TC all still while maintaining original time stamp
OmahaAudio
One benefit to Logic Pro is that, unlike Pro Tools, you don't need a USB dongle to make it work. If there's any way for you to get an education version of Logic Pro (cough) you can get the whole suite for $160.
Noah Timan
I haven't gotten around to trying it yet, but I asked the same question recently and got some helpful suggestions:
