Fusion 10 finger trouble

For quite some time the primary drives on both my Deva and Nomad have been purring along splendidly using 64GB 400x Transcend CF cards.

I certainly concur, firmware version is important.

I'm currently using:

Deva firmware -- vers. 7.56 (Deva & Fusion use the same firmware, and at the heart of it, are the same basic machine) This is the version you should be using.

Nomad firmware -- vers. 7.27

John. Your notes regarding the cards is very interesting. Here in the UK a search for a 64gb Transcend brings up a few suppliers but most of them are on E-bay which you say should be avoided. Amazon is the only other supplier I would feel comfortable with. Maybe these card types are more readily available in the US. An e-mail from Howy has put me on the right track as far as the most up to date software so hopefully everything will be sorted within a day or so.

Here in the colonies, these are the ones I use for a primary drive:

...and, while I don't recommend buying gear from them (go with the "Usual Suspects" instead), B&H:

For mirroring, I use the 32GB version of these, and the 32GB version of the 133s (I also carry some smaller capacity Transcend cards, for the times a client may need to purchase the media from me).
