Studiologic SL Mixface and the Sound Devices 8 Series

Anybody else using the Studiologic SL Mixface? Sound Devices recently added supported support for it in a new firmware update for the Sound Devices 8 Series.

 

Just started using it seriously myself a couple of weeks ago on my current production, and mostly I'm loving it! It's a great addition, but it has a couple of minor things I wish were different.

 

The Studiologic SL Mixface has Bluetooth. The Sound Devices 833 has Bluetooth.

 

But there is no way to connect them both together I believe?

 

Would love if there was a firmware update to support this wireless Bluetooth connection! 😉 Pretty please? (especially as the Micro USB connection is very dodgy! And very easily comes loose and disconnects 😕 Plus going wireless means for bag-cart users, it's one less step you need to do if in a jiffy you need to transition between cart mixing to bag wearing operation)

Can you daisy chain 2 of them for 16 channels of control from the boards?

I haven't got two of them to test with, but I think so. People have used a USB Hub with the Sound Devices 8 Series so as to use two control surfaces at once. 

 

But you can also use just the the one Mixface and multiple banks so as to control more channels, if you wish.
