Matstadon
I’m in a scenario where I’m going to have to power a lectrosonics SRc without a sled. What would the downsides be to powering with AA battery box terminated for a SRc receiver?
codyman
Have you considered a little cheap lithium battery pack that has a 12v DC port out? They can be had for ~$20 USD and would be way more convenient with longer runtimes.
Derek H
Sure why not. If space isn’t a huge concern find a sled that puts 9 AA in series and that’ll put you at 14-15V depending on type. Probably get a decent runtime. SRs are pretty easy on power. Though 6 will also work.
Matstadon
Thanks for the insight. It’s helpful and I’m gonna try a few battery packs
Indeliblesound
Similar question, has anyone used a simple adapter like this to power an SR? Is there any risk without any type of voltage spike protection (does that even happen with a 9v?).
osa
For years I have used these types of sleds Velcro’ed to the back of Lectro And zaxcom receivers. Works great with these slim or slightly larger sony np style batts depending weight vs swap time: (photo shows how it comes stock but easy to rewire to your connector needs) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07VX7JXFC?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
