Philip Perkins Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Anybody have recommendations for Schoeps microphone repair. Any good shops in the US? Thanks, Bob After quite a bit of looking around I sent mine to Redding Audio, who I think are the importers now. (www.reddingaudio.com). I wasn't able to find anyone else, and the dealers recommended that I go this way. They send the mic back to Schoeps in Germany, but they send a batch every couple of weeks it seems, it's a regular thing with them. Philip Perkins Quote
Bob Marts Posted March 5, 2006 Author Report Posted March 5, 2006 Thanks Philip, I'll contact Redding Audio. -Bob Quote
Guest tourtelot Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Redding is the only solution to be considered. It will mean that your mics get a vacation to Germany, but I wouldn't have anyone else digging around inside my Schopes. D. Quote
Philip Perkins Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Also--everyone who has posted about the "German Vacation" for their Schoeps mics has said that they came back practically like new mics. That's pretty impressive when you consider the current prices for new Schoeps mics. Philip Perkins Quote
chrisnewton Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I recently sent my Schoeps CMC3-MK41 to Germany for repairs (through the Canadian distributor). For $400 CDN I got back a "good as new" mic. They even seem to have re-embossed the gold lettering on the logo. Excellent work. Quote
