  1. I'm building an app that can connect to a Venue VRWB or the new Venue VRM2 and display data about battery life and transmitter frequency. Using the ethernet port or a Global Cache iTach with the older Venue WB you can control your venue via an iPad or iPhone. The app is available for Beta testing now. If you are interested in testing this app and providing feedback to make it better please send me a message and I can help you get it set up on your device. Here are some screenshots. Yes it supports controlling multiple venues. The goal? To give you and your team the same functi

    wingman?

Finally: http://www.sounddevices.com/news/sound-devices-news/new-wingman-app-for-the-6-series-debuts-at-ibc Is the WM-Connect accessory different from the usual wifi bluetooth dongle?
  3. Hello again, ladies and gentlemen! I just wanted to announce here first that we just released our latest app, TV Timecard. To keep it simple, this app is designed to give you the fastest, most reliable and least cumbersome interface to keep track of your hours while on set. It's specifically meant to NOT keep up with your rates and perform other calculations that you either don't need or don't want to do. So if you're looking for something that does everything the accounting department would do, look elsewhere. Some people do want that, but I didn't. I built this out of frustration in dealing
  4. Hi I've been researching quiet a lot on wireless video solutions and found out that the Teradek Cube 155 might be the best solution there is at the moment for boom op. reality, documentary ect. It seems that the latency that there is, happens in the receiver (the iOS device). My question is: with the so much faster processors and wi-fi parts in the latest models, compared to the earlier, iPhone 4, iPad1 ect, Does anybody know the latency when the Cube is used as a stand alone device with a direct connection to the latest i-devices? And is it possible to use it with audio, as IFB? or
  5. Hey guys, Just wondering which among you do sound reports manually with pen and paper or do them electronically with a laptop, iOS device, etc. (or who doesn't do them at all? I.E. OMB? Reality Shows? etc.) Also wondering how often you put a reference tone file (-20dBFS) in the daily folder for post? Is this still needed usually? Thanks Guys!
  6. I think there was a thread, or a tangent on a thread, but I can't find it, so..... What are the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch apps you have found useful for work? Not time killers, but actually useful. My phone is currently a Droid (till next iPhone is released), but I have an iPad too, so I might be missing some apps. Offhand the ones I know about, and find useful: LectroRM FreqFinder I'm dabbling with Sound Report Writer for run+gun bag work notes that I would otherwise scribble on paper. Specifically jobs that issue a 744T and I don't have my Fusion. On my iPad, I have the Denecke an
  7. The latest version of Apple's development tools for iOS does not support armv6 devices. This means that I can't easily build for both iOS 6 and iOS 4.2.1 users. These are the devices that will be affected: iPhone 3G (not 3GS) iPod Touch 2nd Generation I can try to figure out a work around (not that there necessarily is one), but I wanted to hear from people still using those two devices. I may have to drop support for them. -James
