stacysound Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 Nice. Hope they changed the flashing duration of the LED and made the LED green. 2 biggest complaints from camera. Hopefully the charge voltage is 12V. https://www.mozegear.com/product-page/qbit-x2

The voltage is from 7 to 14.
Philip Perkins Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 The picture doesn't convey how tiny this thing is. Cam depts have been impressed. On cams with top plates all you need is a 1/4-20 bolt and you have a secure attachment w/o velcro or bongo ties etc..
afewmoreyears Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 I couldn't be happier with the Qbit XL... Almost exactly the same.. I believe the prototype for this package. Camera people LOVE IT... me too. ZERO issues....It just works... I have been using one for almost a year now... super durable. It has become the go to sync box in my kit... I never worry about it nor need to check to see if it works or drifts.. To date, it has never let me down. Super solid kit. I have gone two long days on the charge with no issues... could go more but I always charge it with my other rechargeables. Cant beat the cost... Laurie and the nice folks there are top notch as well. WIN,WIN,WIN..
ShubiSnax Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 I got a couple of these from Trew at the end of May and they work great. I would have preferred they kept the hirose connector only because I already have P-tap to hirose cables so I could just power/charge from the camera rig battery.
Jim Feeley Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 Brandon, did you get a Qbit or a Qbit X2? Looks like the X2 was only annouced a few days ago... like when Laurie posted here, on Facebook, and probably elsewhere: Or did you get early units? No worries; just trying to keep up to speed...
Laurie Webb Posted August 28, 2018 Author Report Posted August 28, 2018 As Brandon said we actually shipped out some units early. We waited to announce them after we got more control over our stock and caught up on some orders. Thanks Guys! On 8/26/2018 at 2:17 PM, stacysound said: Nice. Also can you contact me regarding the strobe. 949-273-6699 Thanks
Mikisuke Shimadzu Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 This may be a silly question...Is it possible to use this new Qbit X2 with former Qbit XL? My sound cart usually feed 14.5V into each device, this voltage exceeds X2's range. So my plan is to use XL with the sound cart, and use X2s with cameras. Is this risky? Is X2 quite different product from XL?
