thenannymoh Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 Hello everyone! Has anyone created any kind of adapter for the audioroot/remoteaudio smart battery to be used in the internal NP-1 slot of the SL-6? The guy in the video below MacGyvered a solution (@ 09:36), but I was looking something less invasive (or negating a warranty). Thanks! Quote
Shastapete Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 NP-1 Battery dimensions: 7.3" x 2.8" x 1" Smart Battery dimensions: 5.9" x 3.0" x .89" The Smart batteries are wider than the NPs. I know of no warranty protecting hole stretchers – so you'll need to modify the case Quote

chris_bollard Posted August 20, 2020 Report Posted August 20, 2020 If you have a old NP1 that is surplus it's pretty simple to remove the internals and add a hirose to the end, or wired to the smart Batt cup. Quote

Has a 4 Pin XLR so you just need a 4 pin to TA4 cable and you should be in business. Quote

Alien Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Would be interested about how stable this adapter is when used over the shoulder. It is a bit shorter than a NP-1 so does it keep in contact with the SL-6 slot contacts. I like having power in the NP-1 slot and on the external input for ease of battery change. Quote
