Hello hive mind,

I was renting an original Lectro Lm TX from a friend and ran into this problem: it booted fine (lights etc) but immediatly shutdown afterwards.

I didnt have much time to look into it so I just grabbed another set of his but wanted to know the cause.

Im guessing its in some kind of mode/reset state?!?

TIA

Franky

Just to check, and to ask the obvious... but have you tried out a different battery in it? (as this could be caused by battery being right on the edge of dying, that would be my first guess)

or possibly the spacing of the battery as i have had to put a few layers of gaffers once to keep the pressure of certain batteries inside maintaining contact

I’m guessing the contact springs are shot. Like OSA suggested a small bit of gaff tape or even a cardboard wedge between the batt door and the battery would help secure the batt against the contacts. Other than that… it’s old and like anything else that is well used regardless of how well it’s been treated, it may need some maintenance. If Lectrosonics no longer services it, try Jaycee communications in NYC.
