KOKOMO Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Hello everybody, This post to have your feedback about your listening listening level with a Aaton Cantar X3 and a Sennheiser HD25 70 ohm. The older I'm the lower I listen. A few years ago I was listening at -20 db, then -22, -26, - 26 and today -30 dB with the same headphone and "headphone safety level" at 0 on the Cantar. Of course at 50 years old there are some frequencies that I hear less that at 20, so I should listen louder than when I was young ? My ears are now quickly tired but I think I still have a good audition ! What about you ?
Michael Manzke Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 Most people tell me, that I'm using a very low listening level, but it works for me. -32 on Cantar mini with HD26 (in a studio) -30 to -28 on Cantar mini with HD26 when I'm outside
Jim Rillie Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 My headphone level is -27 normally with HD 25s on the mini, occasionally lower about -30. I think it is about the same on X3 but it’s a while since I needed the larger track count.
LuisT Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 I listen at -23 with a HD26 pro (100 ohm) on a Cantar Mini. But most of you seems to be using 70ohm headphones so these levels make sense.
