bperlman
Hmm. Now we can roll from the Craft Services table... or maybe from home{:>)
Jim Feeley
Verrry interesting...A few months ago I was thinking something like this would be great with the 552 or a SD recorder to visualize settings changes (Sort of like Aaton showed with the Cantar and a PDA a few years ago). I guess my brainwaves reach Wisconsin. Either that or there are some smart people at SD.
Adam Jones
Once again, SD built exactly what I wanted. I actually built out my new cart with this in mind! Of course, the question to be answered now: how much do I trust a WiFi transmitter right under my Venue receiver? We'll see....
Chris R
I'm sure it would be impossible but if there was any way they could use the mini usb port on the 552 for this same app I personally think it would be incredible. To be able to visually see all your setups rather than listen to SVEN. Also being able to see time code and file name/number etc...
Matt Mayer
Of course, the question to be answered now: how much do I trust a WiFi transmitter right under my Venue receiver? We'll see.... Just spent the day with a Starlink 2.4GHz video transmitter sitting right next to my camera links receiver with no issues. Can't see any reason the Venue would have any problems. Totally different beast. USB port is for programming only.
John Steigerwald
Totally different beast. USB port is for programming only. But it does suggest that the port has access to the firmware which, theoretically, could be used to address control functions as well.
