How do I route Nomad's "Com" function?

I want to use the internal mic to talk down Headphone 2 to my boom op via the "Com" button while leaving the "Slate" function out of the equation.

I looked in the routing bus menus and could not find a dedicated Com matrix that would allow me to press Com and talk only to the boom op through Headphone 2.

I think you'd need to route it to an unused output buss and then route that to headphone 2.

If you press the BUS membrane button while on the first OUTPUT BUS ASSIGN routing page, it will take you to another screen that will allow you to route it to any of the 6 busses. Then, route that bus only to HP2.

The Aux Inputs page only allows one to assign Returns, Slate, and Com to output busses, not directly to Headphone 2. I'm looking for a way to directly route Com to Headphone 2 without involving/affecting output busses.

I have followed your advice and set Out 6 for Com and included it with the boom input on Headphone 2.

At this point you can't direct route slate and com to HP2. If I recall correctly I believe this is slated to added.

Although I haven't needed it yet, using outputs works fine, it would be nice to have.

I have my com set to output 6 (that is the only thing on 6) and output 6 going to HP2. Right now, dedicating an output is the only way to do it.
