sonicparticle
Would anyone have any good stereo (perhaps even surround, not necessarily though) atmos/ nature recordings of rural England. It would be great for the shake of authenticity if the recordings where from the South Downs but really anything goes. I am looking for summer, wind, trees, birdsong, etc. As many as I can get my hands on really. Should be able to give some ££s in return. Karri
Check out soundsnap.com? Or the BBC Sound Effects series from Sound Ideas? The latter might be a tad expensive though.
sonicparticle
Hey Karri I'll check out if there's anything in soundsnap. I own the BBC SFX Library, nothing to suite my purpose really. I think some nature recordist and sound designers are hanging around jwsoundgroup, that's the reason I thought I might give it a try here. Jon Gilbert
Chris Watson is probably the best know UK nature recordist: http://www.chriswatson.net/ He, like all of us, is expensive but very good.

engaudio
If you're still wanting sounds try posting at: naturerecordists@yahoogroups.com There's several ex-BBC recordists that'll be able to help you out there. Just be respectful and don't expect something for nothing, after all, we all go on about producers trying to lowball here all the time.. self promo time. I live in New Zealand and do a lot of nature recording , so if anyone ever needs something from this part of the world.. http://naturesounds.co.nz https://soundcloud.com/naturesounds_nz Regards, Grant. Hey Grant Many-many thanks for this. I will do write to them. And I would never lowball these guys man. I've got huge admiration about what nature recordists are doing. I think when I chill I decide that the rat race is not for me, I'll go and join the clan.
