mikewest
Interesting article. I worked with several women in the dubbing theatre at Lime Grove who were long term BBC employees mike

Howard
Oh, Maggie Hindmarsh at Ally Pally! How nice to see her remembered here. I was a rookie sound recordist, in my first position operating the six foot tall sepmag machine adjoining the news dubbing theatre. Her initiative was amazing: in came silent footage of a marching army. The pace didn't match anything in the FX library, so dear Maggie put on a disc of a cement mixer and worked the rotary fader - crunch, crunch, crunch. Perfect, met the approaching 6pm deadline and entirely without rehearsal. Bless her kind and gentle soul.
