osa
Is there a device or a technique used to accurately measure different size DC plugs for devices? I want to make custom BDS cables for Devices that come with wall converters but having a tough time figuring out the different internal diameter and external length combos of the factory plugs accurately. Pat Slater
I've attached a 2.1 and a 2.5 socket to my cable tester for a quick reference by feel.

osa
The key word i was missing was “precision” calipers. I have calipers but they are janky and not able to be calibrated. Now that i see the fancy ones i should be good to go thanks! I watched a video for the measuring of inside and outside its pretty slick.
