Ridley
Recently purchased an Audio Technica AT4053b and was quite pleased with the sound quality it produces. However, I found out the microphone is extremely sensitive to both wind and vibrations. Using the provided AT8415 elastic shock mount is all but useless, any small movements on the pole translate to the microphone body. Thus, I'm wondering if there are any high end shock mounts out there like the Cinela E-OSIX system that can accomodate the 21mm diameter condenser microphone. Thoughts? cineli
On our side, we can simply make the reference "E-OSIX-AT4053B" and you should be happy with it. We can make the right fit for it (21mm, 127g). Philippe from Cinela.

Sebi
I used to boom with the AT4053b and it worked fine with a Rycote INV-7 and the high-pass filter engaged. Without the filter the mic was picking up some really low rumble.
Rick Reineke
Quote Rycote INV-7 +1 I use a standard foam windscreen along with the mic's HP filter which is usually adequate for interiors. if that is not enough, I have a Windtech US-2 Ultra Screen . I usually do not use the 4053 or my other SDC mics for exteriors.

Very good. https://radiuswindshields.com/ Yes, the first two shock mounts from Radius seem very well made and thought through: perform well too. I spent some time testing them alongside Rycote shock mounts/suspensions. Nice to have a new player on the scene (albeit with generations of Rycote experience) and to have another company making them locally (well, if you live in the UK!). Anyway, I did a bit of a write up: https://drbadphil.com/radius-windshields-rad-1-and-rad-2-shock-mounts Cheers, Roland
