Bouke
I want a set. I don't care about the quality of sound, I only care about the level of reducing ambient, especially in the higher frequencies. Anyone has some tips on what to buy / avoid? (There are a gazillion of choices nowadays.) Thx, Bouke
inspire
Beats 3 Studio - I have a number of different, but I am most pleased with them! You also do not have to worry about quality and comfort in them. Ideal companions, when flying on a plain.
Johnny Karlsson
If in-ears would work for you, I got these last year, and like them: Technics True Wireless Noise Canceling Bluetooth Earbuds EAH-AZ60M2
Philip Perkins
Bose over-the-ear types have worked for me. Not great sounding headphones but ok for listening and working on a plane. No NR headset reduces close conversation (or baby-crying) very much, but they can reduce the continuous engine+air roar. After a period of time you'll want to take a break from them, since there is something tiring about being under them for hours on end. inspire
BANG & OLUFSEN BeoPlay HX They seemed to me good too, but I don’t own them. If you plan use them with cable, then their Impedance is only 24 Ohm.
grawk
I've had great results from the Sony WH1000s and WF1000s, and the current air pod pros from apple. The noise canceling is very effective, and the transparent mode is good at reducing noise while still letting you be aware of your surroundings.
