  1. I do mostly commercials, so my slate gets handled by a lot of different people. Some are careful, and some are not. I do notice that sometimes when cam dept gets busy, I have to keep an eye out for my slate. Sometimes i'll find it on the floor next to the dolly, on the ground under a tree, or somewhere in harms way. When they get too busy the slate is not a priority. After the last job, it came back with the laminate pealing away. I called Denecke. They said to use an adhesive like "crazy glue" to fix. So far, so good. I think I will have a plexiglass piece made for it too. Thanks for replies!
  2. Camera dept is destroying my slate. The top layer (where they write take numbers, director. etc..) is pealing off, dents, discoloring. What are you guys doing to protect your slates? I did see someone with plexiglass. Is there something made for slates or just custom? Thanks
  3. My 788t locked up during recording. I had to unplug it and take to battery out to shut it down and reboot. Has this happened to anyone else? Any clues why this happened? Thanks
  4. Should I be concerned that my 788t gets so hot? I try to keep air flow around it, but its still hot to the touch.
  5. Good budget. We get a few days to rig car also.
  6. Talent can't know the car is rigged at all, so no large external antennas, or exposed gear. Thinking of hiding the transmitter deep or under something, and then running an antenna cable somehow to the back bumper. Two recorders (744t's probably) hidden (one backup) and planting b6's.
  7. I have a car commercial coming up where the want me to hide mics in the interior, record, and then transmit to a follow van. I've used the Lectrosonics (250mw) transmitter before, but this time I may have to hide deeper in the car. Is there a stronger transmitter system out there? Thanks
