  1. Great news for Maxx owners: Just spoke to Glenn and asked him about zaxnet commands from maxx TC out. He assured me it will happen. No timeline yet but still a positive development.
  2. Hey everyone, This is my first post on this forum so hopefully this is the right place to post this. If not, let me know. I'm excited to have found this online community and I've already learned a ton from reading through the forum. I'm having a weird issue with my Zaxcom Maxx and RX200 and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on how to resolve the issue. Here's what's going on. Zaxcom Maxx with built in transmitter (Block 23) sending audio and timecode to a brand new RX200. It locks signal and works perfectly as long as the Maxx is being powered by the power suppl
  3. Hi, I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I have a question regarding a file that is playing back a close to double speed. This was first noticed after it was transferred from the Maxx after a job along with all the WAV files as I normally do. After noticing the problem, which occurred on only the last file of many recorded that day, I re-transferred that file from the MARF thinking it was a simple transfer error. But the version converted from the MARF via Zaxconvert has the same double speed issue. Now I have played the same file in the Maxx and it is also a doub
  4. I'm embarking on a month-long shoot that will take me across the country (twice). Having switched to the Maxx a few months ago, and being vocal about it on here, I'm setting up this thread as a blog of my travels, packing light while sound recording, and running the Maxx for a month straight. Due to the nature of the work I'll be running the recorder for upwards of 12-16 hours a day. I took advantage of the new 2.0 software and made a TA5 to dual XLR cable for the return to act as additional inputs (hardware inputs 5/6). I'll be running a boom and four Sennheiser G3's. I know I know, Sennhe
  5. Hey all, Recently I was on a shoot with another soundie who had a Nomad and I realised that my Maxx had a fader lag (maybe 0,3s) that wasnt there on the Nomad. Just wondering if its just mine or are all the Maxx like this? Thanks, ps: senator; yes I will contact the manufacturer about this but would still like the group the weigh in. Franky
  6. Hey Guys, Finally, This is the second of the AO bags to go through the redesign process. Of course this bag is obviously very similar to the previous AO-1.5, the main change is the internal dimensions of the bag. Its the smallest of the AO bags. A lot of enquiries about the handles, pockets and modular sides have been brought up. I am dealing with quite a few requests for custom variations of the bag. I'll be sure to post pictures of these custom requests. Also, If certain customer adaptations or changes prove to be popular, then more than likely, that may well be an adaptation that

  8. So Maxx is currently well into beta testing and so far it is passing with flying colors. Just a few more software tweaks and they will start shipping. My impressions so far: I like that Maxx is very compact and light weight. The screen brightness when turned to 11 is quite bright - Zaxcom has somehow made the screen even brighter than in Nomad - and the removal of the plastic overlay cuts down on glare which adds to the visibility. The menu structure is very similar to Nomad so anybody who is familiar with Nomad can jump right in with no learning curve. I like the added dedicated PFL butt

  10. This was posted in one of the 633 threads today - I didn't wan't to hijack that thread so I brought it over here. Newzik - I heard that there are going to be some really kick ass software updates coming for Maxx, so since you waited this long you might want to hang in there

  12. Hi everyone, I have decided to get a new mixer/recorder (having previously worked with an SD442 going direct into a REDONE with tons of heavy XLR cables - but now I am looking for a double – system along with an Epic) and after doing a lot of reading here I am leaning heavily towards a full Zaxcom – system; hoping for great RF - noise - free sound in post, and no hassle with timecode – issues. I was thinking of getting a Maxx, or a Nomad, along with two TRX900LA’s, one QRX100Q, and one ERX2TCD sitting on the camera feeding scratch – audio and TC, and perhaps one ERX2TCD for the direct
