  1. Just wanted to announce the release of an iPhone and iPad app I've been working on, Sound Report Writer. You can download directly at the link below (should be searchable sometime later today) for $20. You can also see a product demo at www.inaudiblelabs.com/products.html http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sound-report-writer/id492004803?ls=1&mt=8
  2. Hey everybody, I´m trying to make a new app for iphone to log the sound reports. I know many of you use sound devices 788 or cantar and they have their on way. But if you are like me, working with smaller recorders (702), on smaller productions, you know there aren´t many options out there. I found the Sound Report app not so helpful when you have small amount of time to be watching your iphone in middle of the shoots and start making notes. I would like to create something where you make as few touchs to the screen as possible. Allowing you to log your report quickly and easy. I lik
  3. Hey all, im about to enter the world of Zaxcom, switching over from Sound Devices. I've been using a 788 with CLWIFI in a bag for pretty much any job. What I loved about this was entering notes in from my iPhone using the CLWIFI app and subsequently being able to send off my PDF sound report at the end of the day with all track naming, Timecode and note metadata embedded. As I understand, there's nothing quite like that for the nomad at present. With Nomad touch it seems you can do something similar, but CSV instead of PDF and using a windows tablet instead of our iPhones. The last thread I
  4. Sound Report Writer is now available in the Android Market. It does everything the iOS version does, and actually a little bit more. You can still visit www.inaudiblelabs.com for more information. In addition to the current iOS features, the Android version also has a Segment field. You are also able to create a take with the timecode running and hit 'Start TC' and 'End TC' whenever you are ready so that right when you create a new take that timecode isn't used. This allows you to set your take up in advance and once you are rolling you'll be able to execute the command with greater accurac
  5. Hey guys, Just wondering which among you do sound reports manually with pen and paper or do them electronically with a laptop, iOS device, etc. (or who doesn't do them at all? I.E. OMB? Reality Shows? etc.) Also wondering how often you put a reference tone file (-20dBFS) in the daily folder for post? Is this still needed usually? Thanks Guys!
  6. Hello all, been viewing this great forum for a while. Diving in with my first post. I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant, apologies if the topic has already been covered. I just purchased an iPad, Movieslate app & have installed CL WIFI on the iPad. I'll be going the paperless route for my sound reports & I would like to do the same for scripts, reading & annotating them on the iPad. Anyone doing this? Here's some background info, if at all helpful: I work on a long running television series that currently gives paper scripts to all crew members that need i
