dgirtsman
I've done a search on the boards but haven't turned up anything. Does anyone have a recommendation for an external power supply? Thanks!
Rick Reineke
My MM-1 had a coax DC power connection. So if that is the case here, practically any PS which outputs 5-17 VDC with a 5.5 x 2.1mm coax plug will work and has a half amp or more would be sufficient. A screw lock coax plug would be more secuIre. A Lecto portable Rx PS should work, has a screw lock plug and is within the voltage range. That said, I always powered it with rechargeable batteries which lasted a long time
Trey LaCroix
We used an MM1 with a UM400a for years and powered the MM1 with two eneloop pro AA batteries and not one time did it die before lunch. Probably could have run it long after lunch.
Mike Robertson
Most folks don’t look forward to wearing an mm1, let alone a separate power supply.
IronFilm
2x AA Eneloops is always fine! Unless you're basing it on your cart? (or bag?) Then just the usual 12V out of your BDS will be fine. 2 hours ago, Mike Robertson said: Most folks don’t look forward to wearing an mm1, let alone a separate power supply. Exactly, if you're planning for it to be worn, don't go even bulkier!!

I definitely wouldn't add external power for booming. I actually like the sound of the preamp for a front end in my studio and would like to get away from batteries for this use. JonG
If you’re looking to use the mm1 to boom with, two lithium AAs last nearly three days.
