Camouflage to keep the AD from spotting you. D.

You should be able to find moving blankets on almost every continent if you look to the correct industry for purchase. D. Maybe not Antarctica.

Yes! Moving and storage, not grip and electric. D.

Recording a three man band with a 664

Yes this! The Steve in question is a live R&R mixer of great acclaim and this drum technique works. I think some other great producer came up with it. It's been a long time since I have needed to know this stuff (I record almost no music with a drum kit ever). Maybe Philip can add a name here. Why do I think Led Zeppelin's producer? But your plan seems fine and should produce a fine result. Good luck. D.

    Recommendations for versatile PA speakers

The QSCs blow the JBLs outta the water. Had both and there was no comparison. I had the 12s which were a bit big for what I was looking for, more kinda talk-back or playback on the floor. Not PA per se but the 12s would do you fine for, maybe, 300 people, and they sound great. If I replace them, I'd go with the 8s. D.

    Why I'm sick (Literally)

Just saw the "man on the moon" movie (obviously didn't impress me, eh?) and spent the whole time feeling sorry for the focus puller. It was shot so tight and hand-held that half the picture was out of focus (a pet-peeve, I'll admit). Ugh! D.

    Lavs for ties

Hey David. Even today (or not too many years ago anyway) I got away on a lot of TV episodes putting a B6 in a tie knot. It hid in the shadows and even the B (or C and D) cameras on the ECU didn't see it. The more cameras they put up, the less I cared D.

    Lavs for ties

Let that baby stick out a bit. No one but the DP is ever gonna see it, and that is because he is looking from 10" away. I would always say, if someone was seeing the lav in the tie, the rest of you guys weren't doing your jobs very well. Well, except for sound guys. I'm ALWAYS looking and the giant pimple under a t-shirt drives me nuts. Oh and don't even think of pushing it up in the knot just before we roll Ms. Wardrobe. I'll cut off your fingers. D.
